Favourite foods

Lucy loves pretty much everything that is put in front of her but these are just a few of her favourites. Note the 'hands off' face!!

Poser!

Here are a few recent snaps of Lucy posing for the camera - takes after her Grandpa!

Walking!

Ok, so not by herself yet but we're still proud of her efforts. Lucy loves being on her feet and cries if we try and sit her down or heaven forbid, try and encourage her to crawl! She is just getting the hang of cruising now and loves to lurch along the floor holding on to the sofa. I predict lots of bumps and bruises!!

Bolton Abbey

We had a lovely sunny day out at Bolton Abbey on Bank Holiday Monday. We didn't brave the river but had a walk along it instead. Lucy loves the sunshine and spent most of the day waving at anyone that came remotely near us which included cows!!

Update

Just a quick update... Lucy is doing really well. She seems to have settled into life with me at work. I think I find it harder than she does! After months of trying, she will finally now drink milk from a source other than me - feeld like a minor miracle! She has mastered the art of backwards crawling (didn't realise it was possible??)but is less keen to do it the 'normal' way ie on her tummy. Lucy has really found her voice in recent weeks and chatters away in her own special language - I'm sure 'Mummy' is just about to pop out!!

After months of being panicked by Health Visitors about Lucy's very slow weight gain, we had her long awaited hospital appointment where the verdict was that she is just a small baby and will probably be a small child. Panic over!!

Still no teeth despite me saying she's been teething for the last 3 months...watch this space!

Lynne and Adam's wedding

We had a lovely day at Lynne and Adam's wedding recently. Lucy was a star and enjoyed having lots of attention and cuddles.

Easter Holiday

After 1 week back at work, I had a much needed rest in Lyminge while doting grandparents looked after Lucy (and me!)We then celebrated Easter back in Leeds with lots of sunshine and gardening! In lieu of an egg, which I knew we'd eat, we bought Lucy a cherry blossom tree which she'll be able to watch grow over the years - that is providing we don't kill it!

Granda

Apologies for the lack of recent posts - my maternity leave is now over so time is rather limited!!

Here are a few photos of Lucy with her Granda over the lasr few months

Food!

After the purchase of a new highchair, Lucy seems more into the whole food thing! I do seem to spend most of the time scraping food off her bib and spooning it back into her mouth though! I think the video clip best illustrates my efforts...

Playing

Sitting up!

Lucy loves to practice her sitting skills. These pictures capture each stage of her efforts!! Luckily she's not put off by her frequent topples!

Lucy's first friend!

Francesca is 6 weeks older than Lucy but due on exactly the same day Lucy was born. They have just started taking an interest in each other although Lucy does tend to try and eat Francesca!!

Out in the snow

After 24 hours of snow, we ventured out to give Lucy her first experience of a real winter. She wasn't exactly overwhelmed by the experience and spenr most of the time with a disgruntled look on her face!

Like mother like daughter??

Growing up!

Lucy has made the move into her own room and her big cot!! She's sleeping really well in it so far and has even slept through the night a few times (I've ignored the Health Visitor's advice to set my alarm and wake her for a feed!) We're also sleeping so much better now we can't hear her every noise.

Lucy is changing on a daily basis at the moment. She is obsessed by putting everything in her mouth including her feet! She has also learnt to roll over although is less than impressed by this and doesn't appreciate my squeals of excitement when she reluctantly does it!!

We have also started to wean Lucy with mixed results so far - not sure that she has inherited either mine or Ant's love of food!

Grandma

We had a lovely visit from Grandma and Uncle Brian a few weekends ago. We even managed to get Grandma to have her photo taken instead of always being the one behind the camera!!
